Arthella "Gay" Cope, age 78, of Monclova, Ohio passed away March 31, 2015 at Heartland of Waterville. She was born May 29, 1936 in Webster, West Virginia to William and Osie (Brown) Moats. Gay was employed with Jeep for more than 25 years retiring in 1999. She loved traveling, shopping, going to the casinos and especially tending to her beautiful vegetable garden. The greatest love of Gay’s life was her family especially her grandchildren.

Gay is survived by her husband, Melvin E. Cope; children, Diane (Kenneth) Clark, Monica Wolf, Kandy Kulwicki, Kim Tracy, Robin (Al) Smalley, Tim Tracy, and Stacy (Rick) Free; 18 grandchildren; 15 great-grandchildren; siblings, Henry Moats, Gathel Farnsworth, Jerry Moats and Delmis Moats. In addition to her parents, Gay was preceded in death by her siblings, Birthie, Gladys and Ritha.

Visitation and services will be private.
