Dolores M. Guzzo, age 83, passed away July 21, 2012 surrounded by her loving family. She was born September 24, 1928 in Norwalk, Ohio. Dolores graduated from Central Catholic High School in 1947 and St. Vincent School of Nursing in 1950. She was the widow of Jim Guzzo who passed away in 2002.

Dolores is survived by her children; Josie (Fred) Nowicki, Mary (Lindsay) Baker and Jim Guzzo, Jr.; grandchildren, Kristi (Ryan) Baker, Brian Nowicki and Samantha Baker; great grandchildren, Cameron and Madison Baker.

The family is extremely grateful for all the care from ProMedica Erie West Hospice, especially Barb, Cindy and Cheryl, also care-giver, Breyon, and the staff at Aspen Grove Care Center.

Dolores was also a parishioner of Historic St. Patrick’s Church.

The family will receive guests Tuesday, July 24, 2012 from 2:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 West Laskey Road, (419-473-0300) where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will begin Wednesday, July 25, 2012 at 9:15 a.m. in the funeral home followed by the Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. at Historic St. Patrick’s Catholic Church. Interment will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions to ProMedica Erie West Hospice.
