Adella T. Hollenbeck, age 91, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Monday, June 18, 2012 at Heartland Holly Glen. She was born on August 5, 1920 to Casimir and Anna (Sergiel) Nowik in Detroit, Michigan. Adella was very strong in her faith and a longtime member of St. Gabriel’s Catholic Church in Detroit, Michigan. She enjoyed playing bingo and loved nothing more than spending time with family.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Frank; sisters, Sylvia Steimle and Joey Berger; brother, Eddie Skarb; and brothers-in-law, Herman Steimle, Norm Berger and Norby Coron. Adella is survived by her loving son, Frank (Brenda) Hollenbeck; grandchildren, Amy (Jim Eastwood) and Eric; sister, Edna Coron; sister-in-law, Janet Skarb; and many nieces and nephews.

There will be no visitation or services per Adella’s request. The family will have private graveside services at a later date. The Newcomer Funeral Home (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.

Those wishing to make monetary donations are asked to consider the Salvation Army or a charity of the donor’s choice.
