Genevieve “Gene” Karpinski, 85, passed away on April 11, 2012. She was born on December 10, 1926 to the late Stanley and Salome Stefanski in Toledo, Ohio.
Gene and her late husband, Leo were members of St. Adalbert Church. She was also a member of the Altar Society, Toledo Area Polka Society and 55 Plus. Gene enjoyed visiting the casinos and Bingo.

In addition to her parents and husband, Gene was preceded in death by brother, Stanley Jr. and son, Thomas. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Barb (Norb) Lukasik, Jerry (Jeanne) Karpinski; grandchildren, Jason and Trisha Lukasik, Karen Karpinski, Janelle (Jerid) Friar, Michelle (Justin) Jakubowski and two great-grandchildren.

The family will receive guests on Friday, April 13 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300)where a Rosary will be recited at 4:00 p.m. A funeral service will be held on Saturday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
