Shawn L. Swaney, age 42, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, July 14, 2018 at home in his sleep. He was born May 22, 1976 to Gary and Jenny (Godfrey) Swaney in Toledo. Shawn had a passion for music, was a horticulturist, and loved his dog, Cholo. He enjoyed nothing more than the time spent with his 3 daughters.
Shawn is survived by his mother, Jenny (Jim) Nowakowski; father, Gary (Amy) Swaney; sister, Kelly (Jim) Sorah; brother, Quinn (Amanda) Swaney; daughters, Samantha Rose, Jasmine Sage and Summer Lily Swaney; and many other family members and dear friends.
Family and Friends are invited to a Celebration of Shawn’s Life on Monday, July 23, 2018 from 4 – 10:00 p.m. at Olander Park, Nederhouser Community Hall Room, 6930 Sylvania Ave., Sylvania, OH 43560. Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, Toledo (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make memorial contributions in honor of Shawn are asked to consider his parents to offset funeral expenses.
