In Memory Of
Susanne S. Koder
1942 - 2018
Susanne was one of kind, compassionate, caring and non-judgmental. A RN to her very last moments, providing advice on care for her beloved grandson and for herself. She was always the life of the party, had an ability to strike up a conversation with anyone and never forgetting a name.
Susanne had tremendous inner strength that enabled her to battle the numerous health challenges she faced the last years. Throughout it all she maintained her poise and grace.
The family’s deepest thanks and appreciation goes out to all the doctors, nurses, facilities, staff and transportation service that provided care, assistance and support to her. We are extremely grateful for the countless blood donors that enabled Susanne to put up a good fight.
Susanne is survived by her loving daughter, Lara (Dennis) McAvoy-Maney; grandson, Larsen; brother, William (Mona) Orzechowski; niece, Barb (Jim) Rodriguez; nephew, William Orzechowski, II; and many other loving family members and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Koder; and step-daughters, Susan Schenck and Patricia McAvoy.
The family will receive guests on Sunday, July 22, 2018 from 1 – 3:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 3:00 p.m. in the funeral home.
A Memorial Gathering to celebrate Susanne’s life will also be held on Friday, August 3, 2018 from 2 – 6:00 p.m. at The Highland House, 12741 N. Port Washington Rd., Mequon, Wisconsin 53092.
You will be deeply missed, until we can join you on that beach with the never ending sunset.
