James C. Wagner aka “Wags” 63, of Oregon, passed away peacefully April 15, 2018 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. James was born April 20, 1954 in Toledo, Ohio to Wesley Wagner and Helen Wagner. He married his beautiful wife Barb of 32 years.

He was very proud to be a United States Marine Corps Veteran. Retired after 30 years at Clay Center Police Department as Commander Tactical Unit. He was also very proud to be a Free & Accepted Mason and hold many Masonic affiliated memberships. Mostly proud to have attained the highest degree of Free Masonry, the 3rd Degree of Master Mason, and to hold the title of Brother. He was also a proud member of the Royal Order of Jesters. He was very passionate about his family and work. He was a loyal employee of 39 years to Libbey Glass.

He loved riding his Harley Davidson; he was an avid fisherman and was a huge Ohio State fan but had a love for many sports such as the New England Patriots and also loved NASCAR.

James was preceded in death by his parents, Wesley, Helen and his brother George; also his most loyal companion, Becky the beagle.

He is survived by his loving Wife, Barb Wagner ; Children Jessica, Jimmy, Lisa (Ron), Jeannie; Brother Greg (Cindy); Sister Jo, Toni (Jamie); Aunt Donna; Sister in Law Lee; 9 Grandchildren; 10 Great-grandchildren; many nieces, nephews and friends and most of all he will be missed by his most loyal friend Pringle.

Special thanks to best friend John Nahm, Vater Webb and the wonderful staff of Hospice Northwest Ohio Perrysburg.

The family will receive guests on Friday, April 20, 2018 from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m., services will begin at 11:30 a.m. at Newcomer Southwest Chapel; A committal service at Highland Memory Garden will follow.
Memorial contributions may be made to Jesters (affiliation of Shriners) in James's memory.
