Helen is survived by her children, Linda (Patrick), Gail (Jeffrey), Sandra, Gwen (Paul), Bonnie (Greg), and David (Clare); 12 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren; and brother, Charles Klasson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 61 years, Donald Scott; and brother, George Klasson.
Helen was born March 6, 1928 to George and Martha Klasson in Cleveland, Ohio, where she spent her childhood, teen years and where she would ultimately meet the love of her life Donald. Helen and Donald were married in 1949, and together raised a growing family that would eventually settle and thrive in the Toledo area and beyond. Helen was a devoted and loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and longtime member of the Boulevard Church of Christ in Sylvania.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, April 11, 2018 from 9:30 – 10:30 a.m. at Newcomer – Southwest Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) with Funeral Services beginning at 10:30 a.m. Officiating will be Rev. Carlos Hernandez. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
