Josephine L. "Jo" Kneisley
1939 - 2018

Josephine Kneisley, 78, passed away on Saturday, March 10th at Mercy-St. Vincent Hospital surrounded by her loving family. The daughter of Louis and Rose (Mileto) Tripodi, she was born August 16, 1939. Jo is survived by her loving husband of 56 years, Robert R. Kneisley.

Jo and Bob met in the first grade at St. Ann’s Parish Elementary School. Josephine graduated from Notre Dame Academy, where she excelled in art. She went on to work at Ohio Bell as a commercial artist. She founded National Art Studio, importing Dutch oil paintings. Jo founded a medical dictation service as well as the Olde Erie Street Chili Parlour. She worked as a sales representative for McIntyre Associates of West Chester, Ohio. Jo and Bob also founded Indicator Advisory Corporation, where she served as treasurer and operations manager since 1986.

Jo loved people, cooking, art and gardening. She was involved in a variety of philanthropic and community organizations in the area. Bob and Jo co-founded the Legacy Foundation in 2005 to serve the Point Place and Shoreland communities. She was active in support of the Point Place Business Association, (PPBA) and the annual PPBA Golf Outing.

She is also survived by her loving sisters, Katherine Sarno (husband, Alfonso) and Mary Angela Van Wormer (husband, Melvin).

She will be greatly missed by Bob and their children: Kristene Hawk (husband Rick), Richard Kneisley (wife Amy), and Katherine Carroll (husband Timothy).

Jo created so many happy family memories with her grandchildren Hannah Kneisley, Parker Hawk, Macie Claire Carroll, Maxwell Carroll, and her many nieces and nephews.

In lieu of flowers, donations to the Point Place, Shoreland Community Legacy Foundation c/o PPBA, P.O. Box 5074, Toledo, OH 43611, would be much appreciated.

The family will receive guests Saturday March 17, 2018 from 10:00 a.m. until a Mass of Christian Burial at 11:00 a.m. at St. John the Baptist Church 5153 N. Summit St. Toledo, OH 43611. Newcomer Northwest Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.
