Charles L. "Charlie" Dickens
1937 - 2017

Charles L. “Charlie” "Bud" Dickens, age 80, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, December 30, 2017 at Genacross Lutheran Home, Toledo. He was born on October 24, 1937 to George and Anna (Brenner) Dickens in Toledo. Charlie was a veteran of the Army Reserves. He was employed at Champion Spark Plug for over 35 years before retiring. Charlie loved watching old Western movies and listening to music. He enjoyed sitting on the porch and watching the world go by.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Wilma Estep. Charlie is survived by his children, Gary Dickens and Gail (Jim) Carmichael; sisters, Beverly Hacker and Sharon (Merl) Downs; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

The family will receive guests on Saturday, January 6, 2018 from 3 – 5:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Memorial Services beginning at 5:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider Hospice of Northwest Ohio or Genacross Lutheran Services.
