Alice M. Gantz, age 95, formerly of Maumee, passed away on Wednesday, December 6, 2017. She was born on January 10, 1922 to Roy and Ada (Sondergeld) Johns in Toledo. Alice worked at A & P Grocery Store for over 30 years where she truly enjoyed working with the customers. For over 20 years, she and her husband wintered in Florida. Her family will remember her for her loving personality and great cooking and baking. Alice will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Left to cherish her memory is her children, Judith Tiller, Suzanne (Ronald) Hintz and Terrance Gantz; grandchildren, Bryan (Tami) Danicke, Amy Miller (Aaron Nagy) and Adam Hintz; 7 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-grandson. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, John A. Gantz; grandson, Brent Danicke; 2 sisters and a brother.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, December 14, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel - 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at Noon. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
