David J. Gawrych, age 76, of Toledo, passed away November 27, 2017 surrounded by his family. David was born January 11, 1941 in Toledo to Louis and Helen (Rasik) Gawrych. He was employed with the Dana Corporation and Stanley's Machinary before his retirement. David was a past member of St. Vincent DePaul Church, where he was on the parish council and served as athletic director when his children were young. He was a sports enthusiast who enjoyed watching his children and granddaughters play sports, working on cars and building model trains.

He is survived by his wife of 52 years, Barbara J. Gawrych, son, Timothy L (Rachel) Gawrych,and their daughters, Tessa and Audrey Gawrych; and Tyler and Kylie Gawrych, the children of his deceased son, Dennis.

He is also survived by his siblings Leona Zalecki, Theresa Czechowski, Beatrice (Ed) Osuch, Edward Gawrych, and many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents and his son, Dennis.

The Newcomer - Northwest Chapel is assisting the family with arrangements.
