Erich Sperr, of Toledo, passed away November 25, 2017 at Mercy St. Anne's Hospital. Erich was born September 13, 1934 in Waldneukirchen, Oberoesterreich, Austria to Johann and Christine (Tanzmayr) Sperr. He proudly served in the US Air Force from 1957-1960. He retired from Roadway Trucking Company after 40 years of service. Erich was a member of the German American Club, Bavarian Sports Club, Teamsters, American Numismatic Assoc. (Member Emeritus), Austrian Numismatic Assoc., and Philatelic Society.

Erich was an avid collector of coins and stamps. He loved to travel, with Florida being his favorite destination. He enjoyed his daily cup of coffee with family and friends at My House Diner and attending auctions and estate sales. He enjoyed being in nature and his squirrel, Max.

He is survived by his loving wife, Barbara A. Sperr, daughter, Julie Woodbury (Chuck); siblings, Johann (Gertrude) Sperr, Christine (Karl) Wieser, and Hubert (Maria) Sperr; in-laws, Nancy (Tom) Connolly, Douglas (Janice) Woodbury, Susan (Larry) Dunn, Richard (Jose Rodriguez) Woodbury, Debbie Woodbury, several loving nieces, nephews and friends.

He is preceded in death by his parents; Godfather, Hubert Schmidleitner; in-laws, Wayne and Ruth Woodbury; brother-in-law, James Woodbury and his furry companion, Nick.

The family will receive guests Friday, December 1, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm at Newcomer - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 6:00 pm. at the funeral home.

Memorial contributions may be made to a charity of the donor's choice in Erich's memory.
