Lois M. Joyner, age 82, of Toledo, passed away October 28, 2017 at Sunset Village with her loving husband by her side. She was born January 11, 1935 in Mansfield, Ohio. Lois was a longtime member of Trilby United Methodist Church where she was very involved with clothing distribution to those in need and the Feed Your Neighbor Program. She also sang in the church choir for many years. Lois enjoyed playing the piano and clarinet and traveling with her husband especially to New Orleans. She loved time spent with her family and grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Claude and Mildred Skidmore; grandson, Sean Whelan; infant grandson; and 2 siblings. Lois is survived by her loving husband of 63 years, Robert Joyner; daughter, Mary (Dan) Hoy; sons, James (Diane) and Edward (Dawn) Joyner; grandchildren, Bentley, Christian, Meira, Austin, Christina, Andy and Amanda; 5 great-grandchildren; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Monday, November 13, 2017 from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer – Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). A Funeral Service will begin Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. at Trilby United Methodist Church, 5918 Secor Rd., Toledo, OH 43623 with visitation in church from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Feed Your Neighbor Program through the church or to Ashanti Hospice.
