Alice G. Anderson
1938 - 2017

Alice G. Anderson, age 78, of Sylvania, passed away peacefully on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio - Toledo. She was born on November 18, 1938 to Ben and Anna Mae (Ayers) McCullah in Stinking Creek, TN. Her pride and joy was caring for her family, especially the grandchildren. Alice retired from Mercy Hospital after 41 years of service as a manager of the mail and reception department. After retirement she worked at West Park Place and Oakleaf Village as their receptionist. Alice had a strong faith in Jesus Christ and attended services at Shelton Park Church of God. Many memories were made with her family by her hosting all the holiday dinners and cooking her great southern dishes. Her family will forever cherish these memories.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband of 61 years, Clayton A. Anderson; sister, Christine "Pete" McKiddy and infant twin brothers. Left to cherish her memory are her children, Lee (Kathy) Anderson, Faye (Don) Hall, Darrell (Dianne) Anderson and Jerry Anderson and grandsons, Mark and Jon Anderson.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, November 7, 2017 from 4-9:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - Northwest Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo, OH (419-473-0300). Her Funeral Service will begin at 10:00 a.m. in the funeral home on Wednesday, November 8, 2017 with Pastor Scott Isham officiating. She'll be laid to rest next to her husband in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
