In Memory Of
Jan (White) Stiles
1952 - 2017
In the 80's she worked at Bargain City/Rinks/Cooks at the service desk, but then decided to be a full time homemaker. She enjoyed attending Bluegrass festivals, especially her fathers in Milan and KOA campgrounds. Bluegrass music and the people involved were a huge part of her life. She also loved tending her flower and angel garden.
She was known as Boxrmom to many of her friends. She loved her Boxer dogs, raising several litters of puppies that brought joy to her life.
For the last 4 years her granddaughter, Princess Lillie Maye, was her pride and joy. They had so much fun together playing kitty and singing and dancing to bluegrass music. She loved all her grandchildren, with all her heart.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Maye White of Loretto, TN, her sister Gloria (Clay) Christian and brother, Donnie White.
Left to cherish her memory are her loving husband of 46 years, Thomas Stiles, children, Kimberly (Brent) Anderson, Bryan (Deena) Stiles, grandchildren, Austin, Jade, Christian, Ronnie and Princess Lillie; Sister, Joni White-Coats, sister-in-law, Brenda White; aunts, Connie White and Deb (Steve) Beckman and many nieces, nephews and cousins.
The family will receive guests, Saturday October 14, 2017 from 11:00 a.m.- 2:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. Toledo, (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
She’s always been a bit on the stubborn side and with her determination has overcome many obstacles in her life. Despite her physical pain, she was always smiling and maintained a great sense of humor and liked to get “up to no good”. It is a great comfort to know she is welcomed by her family in Heaven and is now pain-free and probably running with her dogs. She was cherished and loved by so many. We greatly appreciate all the kind words from our family and friends during this time. A special thanks to the hospice nurses on Detroit Ave. and the St. Anne’s ICU nurses.
