Geraldine M. "Gerry" Williams, age 91, of Toledo, passed away September 17, 2017 at Hospice of Northwest Ohio Perrysburg. Gerry was born November 19, 1925 in Dundee to Willard and Lottie (Frisbie) Wingate. She was a 1943 graduate of Dundee High School. She married Glen T. Williams June 29, 1949; he preceded her in death. Gerry was a member of St. Clement Church and Sylvania Senior Center.
In the 1960's, Gerry and her husband were well known and respected dog handlers and breeders. She was a talented artist in a multitude of mediums and in her retirement became an avid golfer and achieved a hole in one in her first year.
She is survived by her children, Lynn (Suki) Williams, Bill (Kelly) Williams, Diane (Jim) Jackson, Mike (Sue Kaschynyc) Williams; like daughter, Marti (Jack) VanVeen; brother, Clarence Wingate; grandchildren, Debbie, Ron, Willard, Leah, Jimmy, Robert, Mickey, Justin and Melissa and great grandchildren, Matt, Kylie, Annabella, Trever, Connor, Maya and Megan.
In addition to her husband, she is preceded in death by a granddaughter, Amanda.
The family will receive guests Thursday, September 21, 2017 from 2:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home & Cremation Services, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 12:15 pm. at the funeral home followed by a Mass of Christian Burial beginning at 1:00 pm at St. Clement Church, 3030 Tremainsville Road Toledo, OH. Burial will follow at Toledo Memorial Park.
