In Memory Of
Mary Ellen Miller
1950 - 2017

Mary Ellen Miller earned her heavenly wings on Sunday, September 17 2017, after living a simple yet truly beautiful life full of love and laughter here on this earth. Born August 16, 1950 to Kenneth F. Miller and Ellen I. (Ackerman) Miller, Mary Ellen learned early to love deeply and find joy in all that was around her. Her smile was infectious and her zest for life seemed unstoppable.

Mary Ellen graduated from Beauty School in 1967 and was an independent hairdresser and stylist in Toledo for 50 years. Her clients quickly become friends because she treated them as family. She found her “second home” in 1994 at Karis’ Hair Design with her special friends, Carol Jacobs, Nancy McGee, Lori Wilton and Karis Earl, where she continued keeping her beautiful family beautiful. It is said, 'the measure of a beautiful life is the number of lives that you touch'. Mary Ellen touched so many lives.

Left behind and missing her deeply are brothers Jerry, Terry (Susan), Larry (Bev) and sister Chris (Tim) Meisner, step sister Peggy (Rick) Heckle, step brothers Warren, and Grant (Gloria) Lawrence as well as many nieces and nephews and her very special friend Priscilla (Sage) Mitchel.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her niece Julia Lynn Miller, step mother Margaret Miller and step brothers Gilbert and John Lawrence.

A Celebration of Mary Ellen's life will be held on October 14, 2017, 2 to 6 PM at Conn Weissenberger, American Legion Post, 2020 W Alexis Road, Toledo. In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to Hospice of NW Ohio in gratitude for their outstanding care and compassion or to Paws & Whiskers in support of Mary Ellen's beloved feline family.
