1924 - 2017

Felicia F. “Phyllis” (Mikolajczyk) Miller, age 93, of Temperance, MI, passed away Sunday, September 3, 2017 at home with her loving family. She was born on July 21, 1924 to Stanley and Mary (Dembinski) Mikolajczyk in Toledo. Phyllis attended Woodward High School and went to work at Willys Overland/Jeep in 1942 for 38 years before retiring in 1979. After retirement she moved to Tampa, Florida and she resided there until 5 years ago when she moved to Ft. Myers to be closer to her son. Phyllis was a member of the American Legion Ladies Auxiliary in Tampa, where she crocheted over 500 stocking caps for veterans.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her loving husband of 41 years, Clarence Miller; and sisters, Dolores Schaefer and Catherine Samson. Phyllis is survived by her loving daughter, Joyce Koback; son, Robert (Donna) Miller, of N. Ft. Myers, FL; grandchildren, Cary Vischer, Wendy (John Eichbauer) Vischer, Amber (Royal) Barber, Matthew (Hope) Miller and Christopher Miller; great-grandchildren, Felicia Vischer, Alexander, Addie and Veronica Eichbauer, Gwen and Kieron Durand, Royal and Spencer Barber and Faith, Mackenzie and Halie Miller; brother, Stanley (Pat) Mikolajczyk; and many nieces and nephews.

The family will celebrate Phyllis’ Life on Friday, September 22, 2017 at 4:00 p.m. at Fairgreen Presbyterian Church, 3220 Laskey Rd., Toledo, OH 43613. Inurnment will be Private. The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel (419-473-0300) assisted the family with professional services.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the American Cancer Society or Bedford Township Ansted Park.
