Mark J. Thurston, age 55, of Holland, passed away peacefully, Monday August 21, 2017 at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center with his loving family by his side. He was born on April 26, 1962 to Ernest and Susie (Poole) Thurston in Toledo. Mark worked at Hinkle Manufacturing for 34 years as a Supervisor. He was an avid motorcycle rider. Mark loved nothing more than being a Papa to his grandchildren.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Steve and Dan Thurston. Mark is survived by his loving wife of 31 years, Carolyn Thurston; children, Brian (Amy) Roop, Tiffany (Chris Reinhardt) Whitehead and Timothy (Sara) Thurston; grandchildren, Abby, Harlen, Rylee, Eli, Ally, Delaney and a grandson on the way; siblings, Sam (Debbie) Thurston and Joy (Ken) Varney; special nieces, Kristi (Rich) Clendenin, Jaime (Jim) Cox and Paige Thurston; dear friend, Tab (Anne Marie) Hinkle; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
