Donna was a graduate of DeVilbiss High School. She married her high school sweetheart, John B. Sharp in 1963. They were married for 52 wonderful years before he passed on August 16, 2015. Donna worked as a Bank Teller for many years. She also worked at K-Mart in the Deli and Jewelry Depts. Donna was known for carrying her “Donna Sharp” purse. She played Bunco with the same ladies for over 40 years. Donna was a faithful member of Mayfair Plymouth Church. She loved to talk to anyone about anything and everything. Donna was a loving wife, mother, sister and adored all of her grandkids and great-grandkids.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Cindy (Jim) Kowalski, Kris (Tom) Shaw, Jim Sharp and Janna (Jose) Ruiz; siblings, Carole (David) Tanner and Dennis (Karen) Yard; 9 grandchildren, James III (Nichole), John (Kayla) and Jessica (Andrew) Kowalski, Curtis and Morgan Shaw, Brendon Sharp, Jose (Grace), Julianna and Joaquin Ruiz; 6 great-grandchildren, Rylee, Reagan, Ryan, Reid, Hunter and Quinn.
The family will receive guests from 2-8:00 p.m. on Friday, August 18, 2017 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will begin at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday at Mayfair Plymouth Church, 5253 Bennett Road. Interment will take place at Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
The family would like to give a special thank you to West Park Place, Parkcliffe Community, UTMC – MICU Nurses and Staff and Hospice of NWO for all of their care and compassion.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to: Mayfair Plymouth Church- Sharp Memorial Fund.
