Mary Ellen Foley, age 87, of Maumee, Ohio passed away August 3, 2017, at her home, surrounded by her loving family. She was born October 27, 1929 in Toledo to John and Lucy (Meyer) Heizelman. Mary was a graduate of Central Catholic High School. She was employed with Foodtown for more than 25 years. Mary was a member of the Maumee Eagles where she enjoyed playing euchre. Mary enjoyed reading, knitting and crossword puzzles. She loved spending time with her grandchildren and her three dogs.
Mary is survived by her children, Nancy Foley, Paul Foley, Michael (Barbara) Foley, Timothy (Sharie) Foley, Patrick Foley, Douglas (Angela) Foley and David Foley; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; brother, Robert Heizelman. In addition to her parents, Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Paul Foley; siblings, Ruth MacLean, Jack and Bill Heizelman.
The family will receive guests, Monday, August 7, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Funeral Services will begin Tuesday, August 8, 2017 at 11:00 am at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Calvary Cemetery.
Memorial contributions may be made to Hospice of Northwest Ohio in Mary's memory.
