Diane M. (Cross) Perry, age 76, of Toledo, passed away Tuesday, July 18, 2017 at Regency Hospital of Toledo surrounded by her devoted family. She was born on February 8, 1941 to John and Emma (Breese) Cross in Jackson, Michigan. Diane retired from Toledo Hospital as a STNA and from Sylvania Schools as a Cafeteria Supervisor. She was an avid golfer and was Past President of the Lady Drivers. Diane was a longtime member of Emmanuel Baptist Church and was a member of the choir and loved to participate in the Christmas Musicale, served in the children’s ministries, ran the visitation dinners for many years and various other ministries. She was an excellent cook and baker, known for her Thanksgiving dressing and her pies. Diane loved nothing more than spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren. She will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Diane is survived by her loving husband of 60 years, Ken Perry; children, Monica (Ryan) Andrews, Kenny (Dana) Perry II, Amy Gauer, Sharon (Eric) Plenzler, and JC (Jessica) Perry; grandchildren, Jordan, Emily, Sydney, Ken III, Jack, Braden, Zechariah, Kelsey, Emma, Jake and Jayne; sisters, Helen (Ken) Parks and Mina Gillespie; brother, Ken (Norma) Cross; beloved canine, Beau; and many other family members and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her infant sons, Matthew and John Perry; and brothers, John, Duane, Floyd, Glenn, and Eddie Cross.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 2 – 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday, July 26, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. at Emmanuel Baptist Church, 4207 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo with visitation from 10 – 11:00 a.m. at the church. Interment will follow in Toledo Memorial Park.
