Cynthia S. "Cindi" Hess, age 56, of Perrysburg, passed away on Sunday, July 16, 2017 at St. Luke's Hospital in Maumee. She was born on February 1, 1961 to Richard and Beverly (Drake) Dodge in Toledo. She was a graduate of Roy C. Start High School and graduated Summa Cum Laude from Owen's Community College. Most important to Cindi was her family and she dedicated her life selflessly to them. One of her greatest joys was to make children smile. Her family will remember her for living adventurously, having a great sense of humor and having a fighting spirit throughout her illnesses.

Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Michael Hess; children, David (Kendra) Semersky and Daniel "D.J." (Shannon) Semersky; Victoria "Torrie" Hess; Lori Hess and Becky (Steve) Byrd; grandchildren, Brianna, Jacob and Elyza; siblings, David Dodge and Cathy Domonkos; brother in law, Jim Bucklew and many other relatives and dear friends. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by her grandson, Matthew Byrd and sister, Connie Bucklew.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, July 20, 2017 from 5-7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900). Her Celebration of Life will begin in the funeral home on Thursday at 7:00 p.m.
