Diane Jean Hill, of Maumee, Ohio, passed away peacefully in the early morning of Tuesday, July 18, 2017. She was born in Tiffin, Ohio on November 26, 1947. She graduated from Tiffin Columbian High School in 1966. She worked as an electrocardiogram technician at St. Luke’s Hospital and Ohio Diagnostics. She served multiple terms as President of the Perrysburg United Methodist Women. She obtained her Master Gardener certification, became a member of the Maumee Valley Growers Association, and worked for over twenty years in the horticultural industry, first at Wenz Brothers Farm, then as a grower for Ohlman Farm & Greenhouse, and in horticultural sales at Waldo & Associates, from which she retired in 2015. Most recently she worked part-time, again at Wenz Brothers Farm, and also at Encore Books and Tom Strain & Sons. She loved nature. She was an avid reader. She loved movies, music, and dancing. She enjoyed sewing and making crafts of all kinds. Her cooking, baking, and gardening skills were unparalleled. She was preceded in death by her father Ernest Hill, Jr., and son-in-law Kenneth Arquette, Jr. Surviving are her mother Muriel Hill, sisters Lisa (Lee) Einsel and Amy Hill, brother Glen Hill, daughters Holly Arquette and Heather (Joel) Calkins, grandsons Collin Hite, Cameron Hite, and Garrett Ody, and nephews Jacob Hill, Brock (Emily) Hill, and Weston Hill. Final arrangements will be private. The family asks that any donations be made to the American Cancer Society or Hospice of Northwest Ohio.
