Larry was a graduate of Libbey High School where he participated in three sports. He served in The United States Marine Corps Reserve as a Corporal. He retired from Toledo Edison, where he then went on to enjoy his hobbies of golf and annual fishing trips. He was also an avid Ohio State Fan.
Larry is survived by his children, Matthew Kern of Marquettte, MI, Heather (Arnold) Graf of Waterville, OH and Mark Kern of Toledo, OH; grandchildren, Jacob Graf, Katelyn Graf, Kurtice Kern, and Allyson Graf; siblings, Bruce (JoAnne) Kern and sister Pat Bukowski; nephews, Mike (Martha) Kern, David (Courtney) Kern, Jason (Heather) Foote; niece, Sandy (John) Johnson.
Also left to cherish his memory is LaDonna Noel, his loving companion; her children, Chris (Joe) Yglesias and son Louis Bihn II, Louis Bihn III, Jimmy Goodwin, Tyler Bihn, David Goodwin and Clayton Williams.
Memorial Contributions maybe made out to the donor's choice.
Family will be receiving guests Thursday, June 22, 2017 from 2:00 p.m. to 4:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Service will begin at 4:00 p.m.
