Barbara Horen, 82 passed away peacefully in her home, Sunday June 11th.

She loved working in her yard, spending time with family, and enjoyed the company of her cat “Mittens.” Above all, family was the most important to her. Barbara was also Vice President of the Engelbert Humperdinck fan club for many years, her favorite part of her role was being able to decorate his locker-room. Barbara worked at St. Vincent Mercy Medical Center for many years in the Medical Records Department, in which she later retired in 1999.

She is survived by her loving family; Sister Sandra Polk, Brother Dennis Guhl, Daughter Teri Bower (Jim), Grandchildren; James Rowan, Lauren Brewer (Brian), Matt Horen (Holly), as well as Amanda Szczepanski. Great Grandchildren; Emily, Mikayla, Colton and Andrew. She was preceded in death by her daughter; Debra Nye (Charles) and son Gary.

The family will receive guests Thursday, June 15, 2017 from 3:00 p.m. - 7:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). Service will begin in the funeral home on Friday, June 16, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
