Robert Emery Jones, age 78, of Temperance, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at Hickory Ridge Rehabilitation Center. Bob was born November 28, 1938 in Toledo to Arthur and Florence (Eggl) Jones. He was employed with the Duff Truckline for 23 years. Bob was a lifetime member of the National Rifle Association and an active member of Heritage Baptist Church.

He is survived by his loving wife, Rita Lammie-Jones; step-children, Mark Haefner and Lynn (Brian) Malinowski; step-granchildren, Mark Dean, Breanna and James Haefner; Jacob Malinowski and Kara (Kevin) Brotherton; several step-great-grandchildren; furry kids, Teke and Jack and sister in law, Judy (Skip) Surerus. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his first wife of 53 years, Dorothy (Haggard) Jones.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday, May 30, 2017 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Road (419 473-0300). Funeral services will begin in the funeral home on Wednesday, May 31, 2017 at 10:30 a.m. with Pastor Daniel Ellis presiding. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
