1925 - 2017

Ross W. Huffman, age 91, of Toledo, went to be with the Lord on Thursday, April 20, 2017 at St. Anne’s Mercy Hospital. He was born on October 20, 1925 to Lawrence and Ruth Huffman in Grand Rapids, Ohio. He was a veteran of the U.S. Navy serving his country during WWII & Korean War. Ross was employed with Jeep for about 50 years before retiring. He was a longtime member of Liberty Baptist Church. Ross loved to travel, tinker around in his garage and fix things. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Ross Huffman, Jr.; and 2 sisters and 2 brothers. Ross is survived by his loving wife of 58 years, N. Faye Huffman; daughters, Wendy (Kevin) Howell and Judy (Bill) Geyer; 6 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 4 great-great-grandchildren; sister, Yvonne Hart; and many other family members and dear friends.

The family will receive guests on Tuesday from 3:00 – 8:00 p.m. p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
