Alberta Bryant died in her home April 16, 2017 in Toledo, Ohio due to complications from cancer.

Mrs. Bryant was born December 20, 1948 to her parents Laurine and James Fields. Alberta worked as a Factory Worker at G.M. Powertrain for over 25 years until her retirement, and she spent the remaining time caring for her grandchildren.

Mrs. Bryant was a patient and caring mother. She loved to sew and cook and spend time with her family.

Mrs. Bryant is survived by her sons, Kevin and Rufus Carlisle; daughters, Jill and Morgan Carlisle; mother, Laurine Fields; sister, Alethea Smith and brothers, Ricky, Jimmy, Anthony, Gregory and Ronnie Fields. She was preceded in death by husbands, Rufus Carlisle and Melvin Bryant; sister, Cynthia Fields and father, Rev. James Fields, a Military veteran.

The family will receive guests Friday, April 21, 2017 from 10:00 a.m. – 12:00 p.m. in the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900) where funeral services will be held at 12:00 p.m. in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Resurrection Cemetery.
