1957 - 2017

John C. Westhoven, age 59, of Whitehouse, Ohio passed away unexpectedly on February 12, 2017. He was born July 5, 1957 in Toledo to Dr. Joseph and Mrs. Mary Anne (Myers) Westhoven. John was a 1975 graduate of St. Francis de Sales High School, and received his Bachelor of Science Degree from The Ohio State University. He was employed with Westlake Financial for more than six years. John was an avid Ohio State Football fan, and had the opportunity to watch the Buckeyes beat Oklahoma last Fall with his favorite fans, David, Michael and Jamie. A fun loving and caring person, John always had a smile on his face which was infectious to those around him.

John is survived by his wife, Laurie A. Westhoven; children, David, Michael and Jamie Westhoven; step-son, Logan (Brittany) Ferguson; siblings, Ann (Tom) Baker, James (Autumn) Westhoven, Jody (Mark) McClellan, Jean (Rick) Dyer; brother-in-law, Chris Amato; former spouse, Judy Westhoven and many nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents, John was preceded in death by his sister Nancy “Pants” Amato and brother, Michael Westhoven.

A Celebration of John’s Life will be held Sunday, February 19, 2017 at M Osteria & Bar 611 Monroe Street Toledo, Ohio 43604 from 5:00 p.m. – 7:00 p.m.
