1931 - 2017

Franklin L. "Frank" Grey, age 85, of Holland, passed away surrounded by his family on February 11, 2017. He was born on July 10, 1931 to Edward and Thelma Elizabeth (Todd) Grey in Toledo. He was a graduate of Libbey High School, Class of 1950. For over 51 years of his life he worked with various PHC and PVF wholesale companies in Toledo where he was known as, "Famous Frank." He retired from Etna Supply Company in 2012.

He received his recreational pilot license in Oct. of 1993 and was a 20 year member of EAA #582. In his spare time he enjoyed fishing, the great outdoors, woodworking and was an avid camera collector.

Left to cherish his memory are his children, Nancy (Steve) Fahle, Rita (Michael) Shake, Norm Grey and Ken (Cindy) Grey; 10 grandchildren; siblings, Mary Worden, Judy Pidcock and Pat (Jim) Kratzman. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his loving wife, Ruth E. Grey in August 2015; siblings, Beverly "June", Donald, James and Virginia.

The family will receive guests on Thursday, February 16, 2017 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900) where a Scripture Service will be held at 7:00 p.m. Visitation will also be held on Friday, February 17, 2017 at Our Lady of Lourdes, 6149 Hill Ave., Toledo, OH 43615 from 9:00 a.m. until the time of his Funeral Mass at 10:00 a.m. Rev. Joseph Cardone officiating. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.
