Gregory P. "Greg" Jerzykowski
1959 - 2017

Gregory P. “Greg” Jerzykowski, age 57, of Toledo, passed away Saturday, January 14, 2017 due to complications during heart surgery. He was the loving son of Paul and Barbara born July 3, 1959. Greg graduated from Start High School in 1978. He worked for various trucking firms including Yellow Freight and most recently Estes Express Lines. In the summertime Greg enjoyed cooking on his grill, tending to his flowers and cutting his grass with the riding mower. He was a car enthusiast who enjoyed attending classic car shows near and far and liked talking about cars with his Wednesday night buddies. Greg had a great sense of humor, a love for life and a loyalty to his family. He will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved him.

Greg is survived by his parents, Paul and Barbara; his best friends who were his loving brothers, Doug (Vicki) and Mike (Mary Jo); special nieces and nephews, Paul, Amanda, Steven and Jessica; and other family members and dear friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 7:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300) with Funeral Services beginning at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the Toledo Metro Parks, 5100 Central Ave., Ottawa Hills, Toledo, OH 43615.

The family would like to thank Dr. Donald Crescenzo, his team and the nurses in the Toledo Hospital ICU.
