Arnie retired as a Toledo Police Officer after 27 years of service. He then worked as a PTI Driver for CSX and NS for 19 years. The most important thing to Arnie was always his family. He loved fishing with his kids and grandkids. Arnie was a devoted Ohio State fan and Detroit sports fan. He loved and was fascinated by trains and enjoyed photographing them.
Left to cherish his memory is his loving and devoted wife of 56 ½ years, Delilah; children, Arnold R. (Terri) LeBowsky III and Kim LeBowsky; grandchildren, Torri Sillman (David), Bryant Sillman (Marissa), Mikey (Kim) Martins; “grandchildren”, Alexys, Joseph and Kyle Sillman and their parents, Bryant and Christina Sillman; nieces, Sue Simmons, Karen McDowell, Janet Weber; nephew Arnold Smitley and his furry friend, Adrian. Arnie was preceded in death by his parents; sister, Mildred Smitley; nephew, Gene Smitley and niece, Linda Watkins.
The family will receive guests on Wednesday, January 18, 2017 from 2-8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900).
