Albert J. “Al” Byram, age 80, of Toledo, passed away peacefully Sunday, December 4, 2016 at home surrounded by loving family. He was born on September 12, 1936 to Albert Sr. and Minetta (Roloff) Byram in Toledo. Al attended Springfield High School. He married Laura Oberhouse on May 5, 1957 in Toledo and they were married for 34 years before she passed. Al worked as a foreman at Manufacturing Enameling retiring after 25 years in 1991. He truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures in watching John Wayne movies, Westerns, working on cars and sitting around the kitchen table listening to country music reminiscing. Al had an uncanny ability to reach people in a deep and positive way.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Laura; daughter, Tina Bussard; granddaughter, Tabatha Bussard; 2 brothers and 2 sisters. Al is survived by his children, sons, James (Connie), Michael, Russell (Shelly), Ronald (Lori), and Donald; daughters, Lori (Ken) Bushroe and Deborah Tolliver; 16 grandchildren; and many great-grandchildren; and special friend of the family, Tasha Rohn.

The family will receive guests on Thursday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

Those wishing to make memorial contributions are asked to consider the family.
