June Eloise Kuhn, 97, widow of Joseph R. Kuhn, died Wednesday, September 21, of Alzheimer’s disease. She was born in Akron, Ohio on June 15, 1919 but lived most of her life until marriage in Tiffin, Ohio. She married the love of her life on January 25, 1947. For many years she lived at 3900 River Road, where her husband was Golf Course Superintendent of Toledo Country Club. She died peacefully at her daughter and son-in-law’s home surround by her family and felt the deep love from them at her passing. June was a loyal witness of Jehovah for over 60 years.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Cyrus and Jesse Unger, brothers: Maurice and Harold, sisters: Margaret and Lois and sisters-in-law: Hazel and Evelyn.

June is survived by: daughter, Linda (Richard) Pitzen, son, Thomas (Gloria) Kuhn, Grandchildren: Amy (John) Schmidt, Elissa (Michael D) Tapley, Joel (Mary Jo) Pitzen, Tracey (Jon Sr.) Hawkins, Jared and Brittany Kuhn. Great-grandchildren: Jordyn, Erika, Lindsey, Stephanie, Allen, Jon Jr, and Joseph (Joey). Brothers: James (Linda) Unger and John (Sharon) Unger. Special niece and helper: Sharyn McMullen, and many other nieces and nephews.

A Memorial Service will be held Sunday, October 22, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses, 740 North McCord Road. In lieu of flowers, donations to the Jehovah’s Witnesses at https://www.jw.org/apps/E_DONATE can be made. Finally, the family would really like to thank Hospice of NW Ohio for their wonderful care of June during the last few months.
