Phyllis J. Monday, age 90, of Toledo, passed away September 17, 2016 at Genesis Point Place Care and Rehabilitation Center. Phyllis was born April 17, 1926 in Toledo. She was employed with the Dana Corporation for more than 38 years retiring in 1984. Phyllis was a former member of the Fraternal Order of Eagles on Jackman Road in Toledo. She loved to go on "granny gambling" day trips to the casinos, enjoyed traveling, ballroom dancing and watching classic movies.

In addition to her parents, Phyllis was also preceded in death by her loving husband, John T. Monday. Left to cherish her memory is her son, John E. (Sue) Monday; many precious grandchildren; brothers, Ralph Eble and Kenneth (Wanda) Eble; numerous nieces and nephews.

The family will receive guests Wednesday, September 21, 2016 from 11:00 am - 1:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - NW Chapel, 4150 W. Laskey Rd. (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin Wednesday at 1:00 pm. at the funeral home with interment following in Mt. Carmel Cemetery.
