In Memory Of
Beverly J. "Bev" King
1936 - 2016
It was at UT that Bev met the love of her life, Fred King, who announced to anyone he met that she was, "the most beautiful girl in the world." They were married in 1961 and have three children and seven grandchildren.
Bev was most active at Fairgreen Presbyterian Church, serving as a deacon and singing in the choir. She swam regularly at the West YMCA, attended the Toledo Symphony, held season tickets to the UT basketball games, and for many years Bev and Fred met with a great group of friends annually to attend an away UT football game. Most precious to Bev was her husband, children, and grandchildren. She looked forward to creating memories during the holidays, family birthdays and vacationing with them in the Upper Peninsula and Topsail Island, NC.
Beverly was preceded in death by her parents. Left to cherish her memory is her loving husband of 55 years, Fred; children, Diane (Tod) Pickering, Tim (Holly) King, and Dave (Victoria) King; grandchildren, Mackenzie, Andrew, Reagan, Chase, Alex, Nathan, and Daniel; sister, Carol Peoples; many nieces, nephews, church family, and dear friends.
Memorial Services will begin on Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 4:00 p.m. at Fairgreen Presbyterian Church, 3220 Laskey Rd., Toledo, OH 43613, where the family will gather with family and friends one hour prior to services. Pastor Ross Slaughter officiating.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Fairgreen Presbyterian Church, 3220 Laskey Rd., Toledo, OH 43613.
