James R. "Jim" Mazuchowski, passed away Saturday, July 23, 2016. He was a life-long Toledo resident. Jim retired from Morgan Linen where he worked as a route driver. He also worked at Libbey Glass where he met his wife of 63 years, Jean. Together with his wife, whom he deeply missed upon her passing and is now re-united, they enjoyed many years of hiking, snowmobiling at their cabin near St. Helen, Michigan, and traveling in their motorhome. He was a longtime member of Regina Coeli Parish, where he coached football for 18 years. He also was a longtime junior knothole baseball coach in Washington Township. He was most proud of his service to his Country as a tank crewman and Corporal in the Second Infantry Division in the US Army during the Korean War. He was awarded the Purple Heart after his tank was shot out from under him.

He is survived by his son, Raymond (Kim) Mazuchowski; daughter, Cathy (Terry) Scott; 6 grandchildren who brought him great happiness; Susan Mazuchowski, J.D., and Raymond Mazuchowski, DDS; Dr. Anne (Greg) Scott Broughton, M.D., Lt. Megen Scott USN, Dr. Laura (John) Coyne M.D., and Captain Patrick (Shawn) Scott, US Army. Jim was also exceedingly happy to spend time with his first great-grandchild, Wyatt over the 4th of July; sister, Marlene (Larry) Lapointe and sister-in-law, Geri Kucharski. He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Jean and his parents, Henry and Helen Mazuchowski; numerous other relatives and in-laws.
