Sheilla (Sheppard) Moore, age 62, of Erie, MI, formerly of Toledo, made her transition into Heaven peacefully at Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg on Thursday, July 21, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on April 21, 1954 to Arkus and Delores (Gladieux) Sheppard in Toledo.

Sheilla was a loving wife, mother, nana and a precious sister. She worked multiple jobs throughout her life, but her passion was when she was an in home childcare provider. She loved her grandchildren more than anything and enjoyed going to see them play sports or other activities. She also loved vacationing and going out for family dinners.

Sheilla is survived by her loving husband of 40 years, Melvin; sons, Vinnie Dougherty, Eric (Mandy) Moore; daughter, Melanie (Kyle) Pope; 8 grandchildren; sister, Cheryl Houle; brother, Brian (Molly) Thanasiu; and many nieces, nephews and dear friends. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Dale and Donnie.

The family will receive guests on Monday from 2 – 8:00 p.m. at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4150 W. Laskey Rd., Toledo (419-473-0300). Funeral Services will begin on Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park.

The family would like to thank Hospice of Northwest Ohio, Perrysburg for all of the tender and loving care they provided. She will be missed dearly by family and friends.
