Juanita Jean Gantt, age 75, of Oregon, passed away peacefully, Saturday, May 21, 2016 surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 23, 1940 to Elva Cochran. Juanita enjoyed bingo, reading, watching westerns on TV. Even though her health had been failing for several years, she always found time to offer a smile & words of encouragement to others. When undergoing a trial Nita would say “quit worrying I know Jesus is with me.”

She was preceded in death by her mother, Elva Cochran; step-father, Elmer Cochran; daughter, Lora Beth Jacobs; brother, Donald Hawley; and sister, Lucille Law. Juanita is survived by her son, Timothy Gantt; daughter, Lorraine (Dennis) Hoadley; brother, Gerald (Shirley) Evans; sister, Sue Bryston; granddaughter, Angie (John) Demitry; grandson, Michael Jacobs; 2 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

A Celebration of Life will be held on June 1st, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. at Faith United Methodist Church, 3415 Starr Ave., Oregon, OH 43616 (Entrance off of Coy Rd.) The Newcomer Funeral Home – NW Chapel assisted the family with professional services.
