Cecil graduated from Delta High School in 1947. He worked from 1947 until his retirement in 1990 for Allied Chemical (Plaskon). Cecil was a veteran of the U.S. Army and served from 1951-1953. He looked forward to family vacations during the summer and in retirement, winters in Florida. Cecil was an avid golfer, enjoyed bowling and always loved playing cards. He was a member of Boulevard Church of Christ for many years and was recently an active member of Heritage Church of God.
Left to cherish his memory are his children, Brenda (Roger) Newman and Charles (Joann Miller) Davis; sister, Verna Davis; grandchildren, Bethany Newman, Katherine (Cyprian) Wejnert, Matthew (Jessica) Newman and Reuben, Henry, George, Joseph and Josephine Miller-Davis; and great-grandson, Zachary Wejnert. Cecil was preceded in death by his wife, Priscilla; and sisters, Winona and Vivian.
The family will receive guests from 5-8:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 at Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900). The Funeral Service will be held on Friday at 9:00 a.m. Burial will take place at Toledo Memorial Park.
