Charlotte Martin passed away peacefully on April 23, 2016 at The Elizabeth Scott Community in Maumee. Charlotte was born to Emma (Matthewson) and William Lloyd Beebe on January 23, 1927 in Manito, Illinois. She moved to Toledo at age 7 when her father got a job with the WPA.

Charlotte attended Glenwood Elementary and Scott High School. She lived in west Toledo her entire adult life, working at Clean Rite Cleaners and the Lein Meat Company. She was a member of the Pythian Sisters for more than 50 years. She was an avid bunco player and a devoted fan of the Detroit Tigers.

She is survived by her children, Gary (Mary Anne) Cullum, Connie Pilaczynski, Mary Beth (John) Agby, David (Lisa) Cowell and Dianne Cowell as well as special family members, Robert Mominee and Prudence Muise; along with 18 grandchildren and 32 great-grandchildren; and sister-in-law, Helene Beebe. She was preceded in death by her husbands, John Cullum, Harry Cowell and Homer Martin; along with siblings, Lloyd (Edith) Beebe, Shirley (Earl) Maxfield, Marion (Alan) Henry, Emmett (PeeWee) Beebe and Donnie Beebe as well as their loving parents.

The family will receive guests, Friday, April 29, 2016 from 4:00 p.m. – 8:00 p.m. at the Newcomer Funeral Home, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd., Toledo (419-381-1900), where the Pythian Sisters will hold a service at 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held Saturday, April 30, 2016 at 10:30 a.m. in the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.

Memorial contributions may be made to Aldersgate United Methodist Church in Charlotte’s memory.
