Gilbert W. Naugle, age 79, of Toledo, passed away April 20, 2016 at Heartland of Promedica. He was born September 27, 1936 in Toledo to Clyde and Raychael (Ringling) Naugle. Gilbert served his country in the U.S. Army. He was employed with the Toledo Fire Department for more than 27 years retiring in 1992. Gilbert enjoyed bowling and was an avid Detroit Tigers, Lions and Ohio State fan.

Gilbert is survived by his wife, Suzanne Naugle; children, Sandy (Kathy) Naugle, Lisa Naugle and Gilbert R. Naugle; grandchildren, Eric Naugle and Randi (Jimmie) Naugle; great-grandchildren, Nevaeh Justice and Jaydah Jordan; siblings, Rolland Naugle, Anyta Hoak and Noreen (Richard) Monk; canine companions “Samuel” and “Stoopy Rock.” In addition to his parents, Gilbert was preceded in death by his siblings, William, Clyde, Raychael and Elberna.

The family will receive guests Sunday, April 24, 2016 from 3:00 pm - 8:00 pm at Newcomer Funeral Home - SW Chapel, 4752 Heatherdowns Blvd. (419-381-1900), where Last Alarm Services will be held at 7:00 p.m. Funeral Services will begin Monday, April 25, 2016 at 1:00 pm. at the funeral home. Interment will follow in Ottawa Hills Memorial Park Cemetery.
